This place is as good as new and there is nothing negative to say about it. we had a car so this was perfect to avoid the usual parking problems in italy and avoid the long tailbacks and expensive charges for visiting venice (car parking at rear of hotel). the hotel was easy to get to also which, after witnessing many tourists navigating their way through the crowded small street and waterways of venice itself with suitcases etc, we were glad we made such a lucky choice to stay in mestre . the staff were great and supplied us with maps and all the info we needed to get to venice by bus or train on a hand out. travel was simple, walk to the end of the street, cross the road, by a bus a ticket and/or tourist day pass at the news/tabaco store, go to the bus stop, 15mins.....venice. buses every 10 minutes and a night bus service too if you need it (4 euros return). all i can say is if your visiting venice stay here and have a place out of the hussle and bussle. top tip......food and drink was much cheaper and mostly better in mestre so check out the local area also.
