The view of the floodlit greek temples was superb (thankfully there was no view of the industrial monstrosity that is agrigento a couple of miles away). the hotel gardens were a delight and i am sure the pool would have been lovely but not in the thunderstorms that accompanied our visit. an elegant hotel with old-fashioned service.

The reception manager was extremely welcoming, smiling joking, and then said he would upgrade us to a superior room from a standard to "make our stay more enjoyable" and although the room needed some upgrading the view overlooking the greek temples from our huge (shared but no problem) terrace was breathtaking gardens and pool were beautiful lunch at the outdoor restauant was superb an absolute must for any visitor to agrigento
