Venerable old character

I stayed at the victoria hotel in nov 2011.the hotel is located near ramses train station but is on a quiet street and doesn't suffer from the noise levels of some other places closer to the main streets.the hotel would be a good choice for families and older people as it is a quiet and comfortable place.the staff were friendly and helpful and the place was clean and tidy.the only downside for me was a poor breakfast, but this seems to be a feature of egyptian hotels. i would stay here again!

Angenehmes hotel in zentraler lage

Das hotel liegt im stadtzentrum. alle sehenswürdigkeiten sind schnell erreichbar. die zimmer sind sehr geräumig, sauber und mit einer klimaanlage ausgestattet. die angestellten sind hilfsbereit und sprechen alle englisch. das frühstück ist eher karg und das essen im restaurant eher mäßig.

Dove è il direttore ?

Nell'insieme è un albergo conveniente con grande stanze e tappetti. piuttosto silenzioso visto il quartiere. il neo è la mancanza di professionalità del personale cortese ma piuttosto imbranato.conoscenza molto approssimativa di lingue straniere (poco inglese, niente francese) non sapere che bisogna fare il "00" prima di un numero di telefono internazionale e non avere nessun'idea di come raggiungere il resort sul mar rosso di cui fanno la pubblicità (stesso gruppo)

Good budget hotel

To/from airport 80 e£ by taxi 1 hour drive. to egypt museum or halil shuk 10 e£ by taxi . near attaba metro station and 26 july street. eat your hot meals outside, the hotel is in a technical shop area. city map you have to buy. you must do everything by internet at home !! museums not allways open !! we where out dayly from 9.00 to 20.00 .

Capodanno al cairo

Ho trovato molto piacevole passare il capodanno 2010 in questo albergo che si caratterizza per stanze molto grandi e confortevoli in stile vittoriano. soprattutto, nella scelta, mi preoccupava la pulizia visto che in egitto il problema dell'igiene esiste, eccome! le camere sono tenute al victoria con molta cura e anche la sala da pranzo è molto confortevole. abbiamo avuto un pò di problemi all'arrivo con la reception cui risultava la prenotazione di una sola stanza invece che di due come ho potuto dimostrare con la documentazione in mio possesso. dopo ripetute insistenze il personale si è rivolto alla sede centrale ed in serata, dopo un pò di ansia, il tutto è stato chiarito. tornerei a soggiornarvi in considerazione dell'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!

A driendly welcome , very central and a good nights sleep

Efficent staff, not over powering. a simple beakfast choice limited but buffet style.good cleanrooms well maintained . hot water a bit slow to get to the taps . for a 1930's hotel it a gem .good broadband , food shops and restaurants close.
