Riveria review

The location was close to fashion show , handy if you want to shop, but i would stay more central another time. its an old hotel with interesting history, the little bar by the steak resturant was nice and cosy but the rest and im sure in the summer its nice by the pool but the hotel is a bit shabby. apparently we were in the delux tower....because we had a flat screen tv....you pay $15 extra a day for not alot, getting local calls included might be handy if callling to arrange things but in other hotels the resort fee included international calls, free drinks, and much more. i would definetly spend a bit more to stay somewhere nicer next time. the worst thing that happened was that we were asked to wait at the south lobby for our airport shuttle. the receipt clearly noted the south lobby. we began o panic when it didnt come 30 minutes later....there are no attendants at the south lobby. turns out we were misinformed - unbelievable! had to walk the long distance to the main lobby to enquire, only to be told no ones picked up from that lobby for 5 years. asked for the riveria to pay for our now much needed taxi please, they could see the mistake on the receipt. they told me to go to the bell shuttle desk at the airport for a refund...i queried this as it was not bell shuttles fault.... but the fault of riveria staff who sold me the tickets. at the airport bell shuttles told me it is not their responsiblity to refund. their incomepentence caused us time, stress and money. was not impressed.
