Lobby
The lobby is very warm and welcoming as are all the public areas. The ancient oak beams complement the rich fabrics in warm hues. There are real fires and deep armchairs giving a very homely feel.
Exterior
The hotel was a coaching inn in the Seventeenth Century, and is renowned for its immense charm and character.
Rooms
Each of the 24 bedrooms has been individually designed and furnished to keep the traditional style of the hotel. The rooms are bright and very well kept with all the facilities one would expect from a decent hotel.
Restaurant
The George restaurant is more traditional in style and has an a la carte menu. The newer and more contemporary No 5. Brasserie offers an array of international fayre and lighter dishes.
