Our room, despite having upgraded, was small, uncomfortable and poorly equipped. one of the curtain panels was hanging down on arrival and despite pointing this out to housekeeping, nothing was done about it throughout our three day stay. on the second day, we returned late afternoon to prepare for dinner to find our room had not been serviced. we had to let housekeeping know when we would be leaving so they could 'freshen up' the room and provide clean towels. we generally stay at the goring or langham and chose this hotel because of its proximity to covent garden on this occasion. neither the public or guests rooms measure up to the hotels we habitually use in central london . most definitely not five star.
