Great location for shopping and palladium

Excellent location for just one night to go to the london palladium and shopping along oxford street. buffet breakfast a shambles, long queue to enter dining room, not enough staff to clear and set tables, manager on duty lacked in customer service skills, in summary an awful experince and one which i would not wish to repeat. turning to the room in need of refurbishment. upon return from theatre again only one member of staff in bar for after theatre drinks, hence a long wait to obtain a drink. would i recommend this hotel, no, would i use the hotel again, unlikely.

Christmas at selfridges

We thought the hotel was great. room size in a superior room was good. the staff were pleasant and helpful and everyone at the reception desk made us feel welcome.

Good base, but thats about it!!

The hotel is in an excellent location for shopping in london. oxford street, regent street etc were right outside the door. check-in and check-out were super efficent as was the conceige and the availability to leave luggage after check out time. unfortunately, the hotel is in desperate need of re-decoration. the bathrooms were extremely tatty and dated. the room very small but clean. we had to queue for breakfast!! have stayed in many hotels and have not had to do this before.when we were eventually taken through we were meet with several uncleared tables, and had to wait yet again for a clean table.to add insult to injury the breakfast was cold and unappealing and it took an age for someone to bring us some coffee and toast.on leaving breakfast the tables had still not been cleared and the queue was still long. to sum up, ideal location if you just want a base for shopping. close your eyes to the tired decor.

Xmas shopping stay

Hotel was better than expected, especially after reading some of the reviews, there were some issues with our rooms, the check in was later than 2pm and when we did get our rooms on 2 occasions other peoples luggage was put in our rooms (we even had a guest in there on return from shopping who seemed as confused as we were)!!! the keys for the rooms kept needing to be reprogrammed which was quite a hassle as we were on the top floor. apart from that it was ok and a great location for shopping

Selfridge hotel

The hotel is clean, comfortable and very central to the best shopping in london, i have stayed twice now, and always found the staff to be polite and helpful, and for the price in central london i think the selfridge hotel is a bargain!

Selfridge hotel

We have stayed at the selfridge a number of times and are always very pleased. i stay there on my own during business trips and it's a very comfortable hotel to be a woman on your own. the rooms are possibly a little small, certainly on the business floors. the staff are extremely helpful and we have no reason to complain. we particularly appreciate being able to leave our luggage with the porter's desk after check-out so that we can pick it up later to suit our departure time.
