One nights, stop

Stayed in this hotel for one night.the price was excellent when booked and was a surprise for my partner, who has never been to a liverpool fc game before. location was excellent as well as the staff and the concierge was a godsend for the saturday,we picked our baggage up later on that evening before we boarded our train, which was next door at lime st.station. hope to stay again very soon.

Excellent value in the heart of liverpool

I would recommend the liner for anyone wishing to be in the very centre of liverpool. in fact it's right next door to lime st station. having said that, the rooms overlooking the station could be a little noisy though after midnight, there's no noise. the rooms are well appointed with reasonable storage, comfortable beds and small, but adequate bathrooms. everything was clean and fresh. the breakfast buffet was very good indeed with a good choice of hot and cold dishes. free parking in an adjacent car park is a bonus. all in all, excellent value for money.

Fantastic hotel - should be higher than a 3 star!

We stayed in 2 other hotels over the same weekend, both were 4 star, but this was our favourite hotel out of the three. we picked it because of the hotels cabin theme as we were travelling with our 6 year old son who likes boats and the price was great. on arrival we received a complimentary upgrade to a family cabin which was excellent and gave us so much space. the staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. we had drinks in the evening in the castaway bar. a beach theme and i felt i was abroad! (only the sunshine and heat were missing!!) again the bar man was so friendly and chatted away to our son. free parking which i think you should be entitled too when staying as a guest (we had to pay at the other hotel). i cannot rate this hotel enough. 1st class service and i think it should be higher than a 3 star. we will definitely stay here again. only thing that may be an issue for elderly people or people with mobility issues is that's it is a slight climb up a hill.

Great hotel in centre of liverpool

Decent 3* hotel in excellent location for all main attractions. three minute walk away from walker srt gallery and liverpool museum. hotel is very clean and comfortable. air conditioning would have helped when i stayed but it was muggy and hot when i was there (21 to 23 august). liverpool itself rivals london and you'd need more than a couple of days to see the sites. make sure you go to liverpool one for shopping and dining. i'll definitely be back and will probably stay at the liner again.

Quick stay

We received a very warm welcome on arrival. our room was nice and clean (apart from a blocked sink and no wifi) we did make staff aware of this and after 3 attempts to fix it we were moved to a new room without any fuss :-) there was a huge variety of food on offer for breakfast which we thought was very good and tasted very nice (except for the sausages). overall i would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in, it's in a great location (3 min walk from lime st station and 7 min walk to the shops) and the staff are very welcoming :-)

Good value

Stayed for one night to watch some football. situated right next to lime street station so ideal for train travellers like myself. beware the hill you need to climb to reach hotel, it wasn't too bad for me but older people might struggle a bit. didn't have food here as there is a wetherspoons nearby that serves breakfast. wifi was very poor, gave up in the end, 3g was faster. room was tidy.

The liner liverpool "excellent hotel"

We have stayed in a large number of hotels in liverpool, but we can say the liner on each occassion has been fantastic, rooms are excellently presented, breakfast as basically eat what you want - it caters for continental style breakfast down to cereal to fully cooked bacon egg etc ( and eat as much as you want). staff are very friendly and help with whetever matter arises. location is on doorstep to the heart of the city. would definately recommend this hotel for your first visit to liverpool. believe me you will not be dissapointed. steve & tina

2 night break

Good value hotel. friendly reception, reasonably priced restaurant, although room not large, it had everything you could want. however, room was very stuffy and hot, so helpful to have a pedestal fan in room. good selection at breakfast buffet including some fresh fruit.

Home from home in liverpool

We believe the liner is the best place to stay in liverpool. the staff are friendly, the hotel is moden and clean, beds are comfy and the breakfast has a great selection. it is close to lime street station and walking distance to the town centre for shopping. you can always get a taxi nearby.

Excellent hotel

I took my family to liverpool on 11th sept 09. we were going to a show at the liverpool empire theatre & were looking for a hotel nearby. the liner was fantastic it is located right in the city centre close to all of the shops, bar & directly behind the theatre. free parking is available & the facilities are superb. the rooms are very clean & look recently refurbished. we ate in the restaurant & was well impressed. excellent quality food & service. i would fully recoment the hotel to anyone wanting a city centre location. im not normally a fan of a themed hotel however, the liner was well thought out & made our stay very enjoyable. the only down point for some people could be the noise from the trains at the lime street station next tpo the hotel but it didnt bother us.
