Home from home

The carlyle is cozy, quiet, beautifully polite and served. it has everything one wants and nothing one does not want for a feeling of home with unsurpassed sophistication. jazz from the bar of bemelman's, a touch of austerity to the '30s post-deco design and decoration which actually soothes, the most pleasant and caring staff imaginable (not least in the elevators), and the location superb -- these elements are, again, homey and perpetual. to arrive from afar is to relax and indulge quite privately and undisturbed yet engaged.
