This is a gem of a hotel. small, but beautifully appointed bedrooms. the location in the heart of the old city is a great base - easy access to the main historic sites, 2 minutes walk to the tram line, and 10 minutes down to the harbour (or two stops on the tram). breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, cereals, bread, cheese, meats, cooked items, and a must for us these days - an omelette station! staff were very friendly. be careful of the attempt to sell guided tours though - fine if you like that sort of thing but we just enjoy doing our own thing as they'll be happy to advise how to get around istanbul on your own steam if you prefer. i can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else if/when we go back. also, hotel is pretty quiet being off the main streets.
