Less expensive, though still delightful hotel.

We stayed here at the start of our trip around cuba. after a long, difficult flight, it was just a short ride to the hotel. (haggle over the taxi price, we paid 35cuc, down from 50, but i'm sure you could get it cheaper). the hotel is clean, spacious and well kept. the rooms have a/c and fans, with en suite and are comfortable, though not modern/plush. you are not paying big money for this hotel, so that's what you get. also, ask for a room away from the road, there is a bar with loud music, that's open to 0130. we moved, easily on request, after the first night. the pool is great and surrounded by the hotel and the gorgeous beach and sea, into which the sun sets gloriously each night, is right next to the hotel. i think cuatro palmas is only available all inclusive (we booked through hotelsclick) and it is worth it. there is unobtrusive entertainment throughout the day. the food was delicious, copious and varied. cuban and european dishes, some food cooked to order, hot and cold food, attentive waiting staff for drinks orders, fresh fruit, ice cream, desserts. there were 4 bars from which cocktails, soft drinks and cuban beer and spirits were available (included n price) all day. a great hotel for the budget conscious, thoroughly recommend location, facilities and staff. stayed july 2017
