Great location for sights but also a quiet location. fantastic continental breakfast in price of stay. extra 5 pounds if you choose full cooked instead. bathroom beautiful and clean. staff friendly and accommodating.
Lovely hotel, helpful staff and in a good location
One night only on a birthday trip with my girlfriend. i used the hotel many years ago on business so when choosing a hotel for the trip i knew what to expect, assuming that it had not gone down hill. i was not disappointed. arriving at the hotel one is greeted by the short drive up to the entrance with it's lovely facade. the doorman opened the taxi door which is a nice touch still. reception is very bright and open and the staff very welcoming. the room was spotlessly clean and cosy, a bit small for an extended stay, but ideal for our purposes. the bed was huge and very comfortable. good nights sleep after our evening at the theatre. breakfast was plentiful and the all the staff encountered helpful and friendly. will stay again.
St ermin's hotel is going to have a multi-million pound refurbishment and will close for a time starting in january. with this in mind my expectations weren't very high, i chose it for location. it is a bit worn in parts, but the room was very comfortable, and the bathroom very clean. the reception area is beautiful, so is the dining room and i hope that during the renovation of the building some of the wonderful architecture is preserved. the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Having stayed at this hotel on 3 previous occasions i was somewhat worried about some of the recent reviews. on arrival we were quickly attended to at the reception and the room though small was more than adequate and well furnished including a trouser press. breakfast was included in the price and ranged from an assortment of fruit juices, teas and a wide selection for either the 'full english' or continental. a big bonus is the location of the hotel which is within walking distance of all the major attractions.
I have stayed a couple of times at your hotel and find it very convenient to where i need to go in london whether it be on buisness or pleasure. it is well priced if booked on the internet.
I work in st james's park so this hotel is an ideal location.i havestayed there several times and always found it perfect for an overnight stay up in town.
This hotel is in a superb location close to all ameneties. i stayed for one night on business and booked a single room. while the room was of adequate size, comfort etc i was amazed to find that there were no tea and coffee making facilities - what hotel does not have those these days? i rang down to ask about this and half an hour later a tray and kettle arrived. when booking in i had ordered and paid in cash for a newspaper for the following morning. this did not arrive and upon enquiry had not been registered - i had my money back. i suggest that manmagement get somebody to stay undercover and do a full check on what is and what is not being done properly. i was not iompressed.
Located was great, hotel staff were very friendly and polite. the room itself was clean and tidy and of adequate size but the air conditioning was poor with no individual controls. breakfast was good.
The hotel is in an ideal location, it was quiet. the central lobby has an amazing staircase. staff were helpful, breakfast was excellent. a very plesant stay, just wish it had been longer.
My husband and i had a lovely stay. the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. the room would have been 5* if the view from the room had not been the scaffolding from their current works. reception would have had 5* if the taxi we had ordered the night before to pick us up at 6.30a.m. had turned up, fortunately there was one at the end of the road. unfortunately the business centre lost all it's points because we needed to access the internet and print a document off and their server was down and we were not able to do this. we were able to access the inernet wifi but not able to print. all these problems are either temporary or correctable and without them the whole episode would have been 5*+
Hotel is in the process of renovation, with apparently one wing completed and another wing to be done. the rooms in the second wing are tired and in need of refurbishment, but are comfortable and clean, if a little small.
Chose this hotel for a weekend break after staying there on business. bit disappointed this time as the room was not quite as high a standard, especially the bathroom. work was going on to replace windows, we had not been warned about scaffolding all over the building, the windows were covered in plastic so could not be opened, nor could you see out. quite claustrophobic. would have chosen a different hotel had we been informed in advance. might recommend it again but advise friends to check first.
Wonderful location, first class staff, excellent breakfast. bar meals good but slightly expensive. main meals expensive. wifi not available in my room: had to use lobby - and £12 per day! full-price stay much too expensive, but hotels click price very good value. single room was clean and adequate but in need of decoration - much work going on in the hotel so i suppose this will be done soon. i'll stay again for business in london if i can get hotels click prices.
I felt that the standard of room was good, and importantly the rooms were very clean. the breakfast was nice. my only complaint is the cost of the restaurant and bar, the mark-up is significant so i would advise people to use facilities outwith the hotel. overall though i was impressed with jolly st ermins.
