Discover Gandia

Gandia is a city and municipality in the Land of Valencia, Eastern Spain on the Mediterranean. Gandia is located on the Costa del Azahar. Valencia is the nearest major city. It was an important cultural and commercial centre during the 15th and 16th centuries. It once had a university (15th century). It has one important poet, Ausias March, but is perhaps better known for the Borgias, through their family title, Duke of Gandia. It is now a tourist destination, particularly for people of Madrid. There are two main zones, Gandia proper and Gandia beach where are concentrated all the flats used during the summer season. There are some popular Spanish food restaurants around the beach, like the famous "La Gamba", which originated Fideuà, (paella, with noodles instead of rice). It is considered a trendy place for young people looking for great nightlife.
