In keeping with the rural surrounds, aha Shakaland’s accommodation features authentic African decor, complete with wooden interiors, thatched roofs and a warm, earthy ambience. Guests stay in traditional beehive huts with luxury amenities, including en-suite bathrooms, to provide a comfortable stay.

Two giant beehive domes make up our Shisa Nyama restaurant and traditional buffet – the largest and most beautiful in the kingdom! With its traditional Zulu style and authentic setting, guests have a unique opportunity to enjoy ethnic dishes and a succulent carvery selection. A fusion of local Zulu and South African dishes are prepared in 3-legged pots on an open fire during the Shisa Nyama feast. Here, you can taste everything from wild spinach to stews and ‘braai’ (barbecue) meat.
