Fine design combined with contemporary modern art creates a charming blend of tradition and modernity, in this newly-renovated hotel (summer of 2009): guest rooms, the breakfast lounge and wellness center, with its private sauna, steam bath and light-therapy shower, now exude a brand-new radiance... Great individual hotel
My wife and i stopped for a copule of nights when eurorailling and were mightly impressed. friendly service, advice and help with concert booking and directions for metro etc. the hotel itself is in a good position about 250 metres from museumquarter metro and not too far from the westbahnof and on mariahilfer, a good shopping street. no nice at night though. breakfast was the best we had on our travels and the decor was amazing, with original art througout the public areas in in rooms. not something i'd normally refer to in a review but the the toilets in the basement (beneath reception) have to be seen to be believed - fantastic morrored finish, highly-individual sink and illuminated gully from which water runs into it. a great hotel and one i would certainly seek out if/when i return to vienna.
