Best two weeks

This hotel is amazing. everything is modern and clean, the staff are not in your face but they are always just there and will go out of your way to help you ant any time night or day. the hotel is walking distance to leblon, but yellow taxis are cheap and safe and the hotel has a free bus shuttle service that can drop you off along anywhere on one of the 3 beaches. hotel also has a travel agent who can organize day trips, which are very good, and longer trips to iguassu falls. well worth checking out, just to make sure you don't miss out anything. if i had the money i would go back every year, the people in brazil are lovely the weather is great and the food is good too.

Lovely but couple of comments!

I stayed in the sheration with 2 friends. the hotel is lovely, with all the facilities you would expect from a 4/5 star hotel. couple of comments though: 1. location – it is located in a little bay the far side of ipanema. a free shuttle bus is provided with drop offs along ipanema and copacabana. the shuttle isn’t as frequent as we would have liked and doesn’t go into the centre of rio. also, the last shuttle back to the hotel is 10 pm. we therefore ended up spending a lot on taxis. 2. food & drinks – very expensive! 3. gym – you had to pay a daily fee to use the facilities. 4. swimming pool – owing to the large hill / mountain directly behind the hotel the sun dips behind this and shades the swimming pool / outside area from about 3 in the afternoon. overall the hotel was very nice.
