Building work at the rochestown park

Although i had been told that the hotel was of high quality, it wasn't while i was staying there. it was being renovated; so a colleague and i had to put up with workmen in corridors and blocking off parts of the car park, 24 hour working (machine tool use at midnight), temporary catering facilities that were difficult to get to through as there were no direct lifts and (to cap it all) an unannounced and sustained (more than one hour) loss of power and water on one evening. none of the building work was announced on the hotelsclick website, and i believe we were asked to pay the full standard rate. if this is the case, this wasn't justifiable for the period of the work.

Avoid this building site until the end of the year at least!

We recently stayed at the rochestown park hotel for a weekend, its just round the corner from my fiances parents house so the location was conventient.... however, when we arrived at the hotel it was basically a building site! they are doing major works on the whole hotel causing serious disruption. the reception is in a small hallway at the side of the old reception. to get to the breakfats room you have to go up and down two flights of stairs (one of which has no lift alternative). the whole hotel smelt of drying plaster and paint. we were not informed of any of these works when we booked - this is not a 4 star hotel! we are due to get married in mid october and were thinking of having "night before drinks" at the rochestown park due to its very convenient location - don't think we'll bother now!

Quick visit ok

Only stayed the one night enroute to tipperary after a late flight. despite extensive renovations currently underway, resulting in 'divertions' in the corridors (quite confusing, and probably alarming in the event of an emergency evacuation) the hotel was perfectly adequate and the room allocated quite impressive. finding the hotel was more difficult than i'd anticipated as my sat-nav delivered me to the end of rochestown road and the hotel was further down it than expected.

Terrific value

We have stayed at this hotel before and so wanted to go back there. location near the airport was an advantage - the staff were lovely as when we stayed before - can't quite finish the irish breakfast - more like a dinner but very good. rooms excellent - can't fault it. realy happy with your site - tried for rochestown park hotel on a few sites and yours was cheaper by £90 - can't fault that!!!!

Good facilities, some good rooms

This is a good hotel with some great facilities. i was originally put in a single room with the most uncomfortable bed ever. i complained and was upgraded into a great big double room for no extra cost.
