Wasn't able to use my reservation

Unfortunately i was not able to use my pre-paid reservation. the airline told me i could not leave the airport because i did not have yellow fever card, so i slept the night in airport of panama city. is there any way to receive refund? i was not able to call and did not know until the same day i was to stay.
