Beach is actually swimmable in the right season - food service a bit slow

Food is good, but be patient. no children menu. close to colombo so great for short getaway. service staff is from local communities (traditionally fishing villages), they are not highly trained professionals, so travellers please be understanding and stay polite. they are doing a good job overall. clean. beach is nice and if you are in the right season (we were there mid-november but there might be other times just as calm) you will actually be able to play in the waves.
