Do not be put off by the scaffolding and the fact that all you can see of the hotel is the entrance. enhancements are taking place which will improve many aspectsof this hotel. at the moment the rooms have secondary double glazing which is by its nature not perfect, but for the traveller wanting a couple of nights in a very handy location this is still worth considering. i had trouble working out how to access my wake-up call and the iron in my room did not work but reception staff were excellent (shoe shine service tip top too). there was scaffolding immediately outside every window but all of this is maden up for by the wonderful atmosphere at breakfast, the staff in the breakfast restaurant were the calmest, most efficient and most pleasant i have come across in about 40 stays in london hotels. this all made for a good breakfast seeming even better. ... bonus ... free wi-fi in all rooms - what a great idea!
