Good hotel, nice location, just stay in a good room

I and my wife spent 3 nights in this hotel in november'13. i've been to amsterdam 4 times before and this time i wanted to stay in some 5* hotel with great location. i chose between pulitzer and andaz, and took pulitzer as it was ~20% cheaper. location. it is what i liked the most. i can not think of better location to stay in amsterdam. it is rather quiet, and at the same time it is in the heart of the city. food. the breakfast here is ok, a standard continental breakfast. but we also tried to order some food with room service, and it was awful. rooms. the hotel is actually a number of different buildings. we stayed not in the main building, so to get to our room we needed to use elevator first and then walk a lot (4?) of stairs up & down and the windows looked to courtyyard. all other things was ok. room was rather spacious & clean. so, in general i would recommend this place, and would stay here next time myself, but probably took more expensive canal view room.
