Nice!

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel with my husband. from the airport we caught bus b to the town centre, this took about 30 minutes, and cost 3 zlt. each, the tickets can be bought at the tourist info spot in the airport and you have to validate your ticket on the bus. once in gdansk, there are plenty of signposts to the hotel but you can see it almost straight away anyway, as it's such a tall building! when we arrived at the hotel our room wasn't ready (we were a bit early!) not a problem, we just sat and had a drink at the bar! our room was on the 10th floor, and we were in room 1015. fantastic view of the town. the room was lovely, with a comfy large double bed, flat screen tv, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities/kettle. the bathroom had a large shower which was very easy to use, and we were given plenty of towels and toiletries. breakfast is buffet style, with plenty of variety. the bacon, mushrooms and eggs were rather nice! plenty of bread cheese, ham etc. coffee brought to your table. there is also fruit juice available. we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. most of them could speak english, although my husband did try his best at a little polish! there are renovations still going on here, but i would say they are nearly finished and didn't bother us. we took the train to malbork one day, to see the castle, and then caught a train straight to sopot. from there we caught another train back to gdansk later on that day. lots of nice bars and places to eat! the polish beer is good. had a wonderful long weekend here, and would recommend it!
