Dissapointment from a hotel i have used before
I had rquested a quiet room a day earlier. they assured me there would be one for me. when i got there the hext day, it was early, noon. they said the room they had reserved for me (527) would not be available until 2 pm, it was being cleaned. i left my luggage there and went to a meeting. when i came back at night, that room had been given to someone else. there was a shift in the reception, so the new person, all he could do, is apologize, he said he wans't the one to give my roo away. instead, he said he could give me another quiet room, 128. i asked if that room was inded quiet and the answer was yes. that room is next to the service room of the linens, so from 6 am on there was consistent banging noise, as the personnel was coming in and out to pick up the linens. this must be the worst room in the hotel. the carpet was in medicre condition, the room smelled of mould. and all that at the rate of 207 euros/night!! next day, when i tried to use the business office to print my boarding pass, i was told that the printer was out of order. however, they fofered to print it if i used my own email system, which i did from my pc. at least, for that aspect they were helpful. bitter disappointment form a hotel i used to hold in high esteem.
