Business hotel

Overall the hotel is very good, staff are helpful and always very polite. the tv in my room had a problem which was resolved in less than 20 minutes which was excellent. comfortable beds, lots of hot water and very clean towels and fluffy bathrobes. the only issue for me was the noise from the railway line. it only impacts on the rooms at the back, where it is quite loud, with trains running until after 1am and starting again at 4.30 am it can disturb sleep. the rooms at the front are much quieter.

Disappointing

This was meant to be a special weekend away but was so disappointing. had we known an asian wedding fayre was being held at the hotel we would not have booked. we did not know where to go for breakfast as there was no hotel guide. after queueing for some time at the restaurant we were sent down to the basement (obviously we had booked into steerage class) where we had to queue for some time again while customers vacated tables and they were cleared. the table we were allocated had staff squeezing past with teas and coffees. ours eventually arrived when we had almost finished breakfast after asking twice for it. it felt somewhat shambolic. albeit we were offered an upgrade to full english but we booked continental breakfast because we wanted it, not because we could not afford it. breakfast was offered in our bedroom between 10.30 and 11.00 but having only one seat at a small table and being so late we preferred not to. returning through the crowded corridor downstairs the foyer was chocabloc with people. after going out for a few hours we returned for a pleasant drink in the bar. the place was so busy and the bar overflowing with people and no available seating. we enquired about a meal in the bar but there was only an indian buffet available all evening. the beef burger in our room was not the experience we had envisaged. so disappointing after choosing what we thought was a special hotel. when the receptionist asked if we had enjoyed our stay we explained why we had not but she just said 'oh dear'.

A great night out in london

I stayed at the park plaza riverbank due to the pearsons teaching award ceremony. the hotel provided a wonderful reception which myself and my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed. i lost my scarf at the hotel but the staff went out of their way to help locate it and return it to me - thank you.

Sightseeing trip to london

Good clean hotel. centrally located for exploring london. close to 2 tube stations. breakfast included ok, not a lot of variety considering the price, very slow service for tea and coffee.

Great stay

After booking with slight apprehension through hotels click, my booking was dealt with quickly and efficiently. after emailing them for a confirmation voucher, it was quickly sent through and there was no problems with the booking. the hotel was lovely. we arrived an hour early for check in and they made an effort to complete our room so we could check in sooner. staff were polite, helpful and pleasant. the room was lovely. clean, comfortable bed with tv and complimentary tea and coffe and a beautiful bathroom. there was a great range a breakfast the following morning and again staff couldnt have done more for us. will be definately going back.

Park plaza riverbank

Good location and a very modern and contemporary hotel. only issues related to the temperature in the room which was extremely hot with the noise of the air conditioning when placed on high in order to cool the room down. hotel room also surprisingly had no drawers to place you clothes and only two hangers in the wardrobe.

Park plaza review

The hotel was fine, although on arrival i was told we have a double room for 1 person, which i specifically booked a twin for 2 people and this was on my booking form clearly stated. we settled with the double room, but were not completely happy with the order not being fulfilled completely. the breakfast aslo wasnt up to the normal standards i am used to, especially from a 4star hotel. the bread rolls were hard and the scrambled eggs were gloopy. this did put me off eating slightly.

Weekend break

Only stayed one night in january 2010 but hotel was conveniently located, clean, modern and friendly. the room was compact but modern with a good tv system, very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. only downside about the bathroom was that the shower leaked all over the floor. poorly designed i would say but only a small inconvenience in the grand scheme. location wise it was ideal. on the river and you only had to cross lambeth bridge to be in the haert of things.

Short break at park plaza riberbank

This is a beautiful hotel with large sumptuous rooms. the bathroom in superb and the toiletries provided are bare minerals. the hotel is a 5 minute walk form vauxhall tube which makes the centre of london very easily accessible. we had stayed here before so check-in was quick as our details were on their system.

Park plaza riverbank

A great location, 15 mins walk to the london eye along the riverbank walkway. 10 mins walk from vauxhall tune station. i checked in very early at 12.30pm and was able to access my room straight away. the hotel is very pleasantly furnished and decorated. i would definately stay here again.

A lovely hotel in a great position!

We had a three night stay at the riverbank plaza for my husbands 60th birthday and valentines day. everything was really lovely, the staff were very helpful and the food at the chino latino was excellent. the position of the hotl is great for the london eye and all of southbank, westminster and covent garden. we will be returning again as soon as we have another celebration!
