We were disappointed when we arrived at our room to find that there was mould in the shower (which we later discovered was due to poor ventilation) and that the double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together with the bedding being 2 single quilts with a double bedspread over the top (we asked for a double quilt but they didn't have any). the breakfasts were awful and we could hear everything from the adjoining rooms (on one occasion we were woken by a snorer next door). however, i am delighted to say that the location was fabulous, within easy walking distance from everything but far enough away to be quiet and the day time reception staff were fantastic, their friendly, helpful attitude was impeccable (the same can not be said for the night staff). in summary, if you are looking for a “no frills” hotel in a convenient location with helpful staff this is a brilliant hotel. however, if you are looking for a bit of luxury, if you have a family or if this is your only holiday for a while i’d suggest looking elsewhere.
