Michael hotel

This hotel is suppose to be a four star however it feels more like a 2/3 star. we booked a double room- this does not mean a double bed in this hotel! we were informed upon our arrival that the hotel has no double beds and so we had to sleep in two singles pushed together with separate duvets- this was not what we had booked! there are also no facilities in the room that i would expect in a 4 star hotel such as - tea and coffee making facilites or mini bar, the hotel also has sky tv which is in many languages however the only english channel was bbc news, there was not even the option to buy films. we were on the second floor which meant that you had no view as all the windows on the second and third floors are skylights. there were some good points; the room was clean - basic but clean there was also plenty of hot water and a great power shower the staff on reception were helpful and the restuarant served great food (however we were the only customers in the evening). the tram ride into the city is advertised as 7 minutes, this is more like 20 mins which made it a forty minute round trip if you wanted to return to the hotel to change for dinner. as this trip was for our tenth wedding anniversary the hotel was a big disappointment and it wasn't much cheaper than a city centre hotel.
