Great hotel close to town

The maui seaside hotel was a reasonable alternative to resorts while offering a beach, pool, good restaurant, proximity to shopping and spacious rooms. although it is a bit old and needing upgrading, it was clean and friendly. some rooms provide poor views, but an outside room in the farthest wing has views of a canoe park, the ocean and port. the fine kaahumana mall is only two blocks away. a great buffet dinner is in the hotel next door. local food, banks and a drugstore are available in the mall across the street. would definitely come back.

Happy

The hotel is dated but very clean. the double room we had was a very good size. one of the negatives was paying $ 5.00 a day for parking. plus side no resort fees and there was free wifi ( was a little on the slow side). for people who smoke there are designated smoking areas in parking lot. which is better than some resorts which you smoke out in the street as the whole resort is no smoking allowed. also found the beds comfortable. found this resort to be the best bang for the dollar.😀😀

Convenient to kahalui airport!

We have stayed here several times at the beginning or end of our vacation in order to be close to the airport.

Good value, courteous staff

I had read in other reviews that the maui seaside offered modest accommodations at a competitive price. this was correct. the grounds are tidy and the view is beautiful. tante's had excellent service in the motel restaurant and the prices were also reasonable. the air conditioning was deeply appreciated. the availability of a computer in the lobby was very helpful. the staff at the check-in desk were consistently pleasant and helpful. we enjoyed the complimentary lemon water in the lobby. it was nice to stay near kahului airport as it was a long flight from chicago. after driving around the island for a couple days, we decided to return to maui seaside for the value and quality.
