We booked 2 nights in hotel pombal. we arrived really early on friday morning 7-8am and we managed to get a room straight away. it was a smoking room and we are non-smokers, but it was not too bad and we had the best view of the castle and the river. the room was very clean, with satellite tv and free internet. bathroom was also very clean with nice white fluffy towels. breakfast was adequate, not a great variety but we were totally satisfied. the gym is small, only with a couple of machines, but it was empty both times we went so again can't fault it. very happy with our choice of hotel on this trip and would definitely stay again.
