Excellent stay.

The hotel was excellent value for money. the staff were friendly and helpful, their service was good. our rooms were warm and clean and pleasant and the housekeeping was excellent. the continental breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the breakfast room bright and airy. the location was superb, just a few yards from lancaster gate tube station and the entrance to kensington gardens and hyde park . we had a wonderful 4 nights there.

Fabulous stay

Absolutely fabulous hotel. we have stayed in numerous london hotels and this was by far the best experience we have had. everything was absolutely brilliant (there is always a "but" except there wasn't one here). we also had the added bonus of free drinks for residents (which we were unaware of). it really was a great find and we will be staying again.

Traditional but comfortable

A traditional hotel that looks a little old-fasioned but is clean, has reasonably sized rooms and is excellent value for money. the breakfast - continental - is high quality for its price range. the staff are also friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay at the london elizabeth

Prior to going i was aware that there was no tea facilities and the lift was on the small side . so what about the lift [ its a listed building so the lift implementation was a bonus . we took a travel kettle and cups with tea and milk sachets . so it was happy days . we drank in the bar until 01.00 barman was a top guy , the staff were all very friendly . breakfast was good . the english breakfast looked very good . the only thing that spoiled the trip was man u beating us in the first leg of the champs league quarters . come on you blues.

Old fashioned but clean

My grand daughter and i had three days here, the room was large but shabby, though very clean, large bathroom and cloakroom with safe. it was in the basement and deliveries were a minor problem.

Value for money!

Spent one night here in this lovely old hotel. it dates back to 1850 and is a bit worn but this is overcome by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. unfortunately the lift wasn't working when we got there but was given the opportunity to change rooms if we couldn't manage the stairs. had a free upgrade to full breakfast as compensation.

Comfort at a great price

Room was of adequate size and continental breakfast was ok. i had dinner elsewhere but noted that the restaurant menu showed variety and great value for money. i did not use or see business services.

Excellent hotel

My wife and i have stayed at the london elizabeth on two occasions, the most recent being last week. the hotel is excellent in every respect, very pleasant and friendly staff, nicely decorated and comfortable rooms and very good breakfast provided in a very stylish dining room. the location is very well placed to travel into central london with lancaster gate tube station opposite and a bus stop right outside the hotel door. hyde park is just across the road if you want to escape the hussle & bussle of city life. we will certainly be using this hotel again when we plan our next visit to london.

Great value for money

The london elizabeth is a great value hotel, basic but spotless and very centrally situated with easy access (less than 2 mins) to the underground. the staff are friendly and very helpful, even down to carrying out your case, standing outside with you in the cold and wet until they can flag a taxi for you. the only minor point is there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room. but you can get a cuppa from room service any time night or day for a small charge. inclusive breakfast is good and you can pay a supplement for full english, which did look very appetising. would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going back.

One night stay

The hotel is well situated outside the lancaster tube station and opposite hyde park. it is friendly and popular and clean. for this price (about 40% off) it was excellent value. the pluses were largish room for london, excellent shower/bath and very clean. the negatives were noisy (it's london not their fault) and that the temperature varied during the night from very warm to cool. that said, considering my previous nightmare/comedy experiences of hotels in london it rates very highly.

Staying in central london - normal hotel unavailable

Excellent position - maybe looking a bit tired in places - stair carpet, lift etc overseas staff friendly and helpful - pity the same couldn't be said for their english colleagues.

Good value gem

Ppprivate hotel which sets out to be different from the run-of-the-mill chain hotels by giving the public rooms and bedrooms some character. very comfortable with nice touches - newspaper each morning, armchairs in each room, light and airy breakfast room. friendly staff as well plus a location which is hard to beat - yards from an underground station which is just 2 stops from oxford circus and directly opposite the entrance to hyde park. our room was at the rear and so was exceptionally quiet - don't know what the front rooms are like as there is a busy junction in front of the hotel.
