4 day break
We have just returned from the london bridge hotel and our stay there was most enjoyable. we asked for a quiet room, on a high floor and away from the lift and were given a room facing the railway on the second floor which was down the corridor away from the lift. however the room was quiet and we didn't notice any noise from the railway. the staff were very friendly and attentive. the buffet breakfast was very good, although on the first morning most of the food was only warm and feel that this was because they didn't have the hotplates on a high enough setting. also the bacon and sausages could have been cooked longer but there was plently to eat with cereals, several different fruit juices, yoghurt, cooked meats and cheese, pastries along with bacon, sausage, fried and scrambled egg, tomatoes, hash browns and baked beans. these were frequently replenished when the dishes were becoming empty. on the last evening we ate in the restaurant with two friends and found a good choice of dishes on the dinner menu and the food we all selected was of a high standard and very nicely presented. the waiting staff were all very pleasant and attentive. my wife and i would definately stay here again as there is quite a bit to do within walking distance and the hotel is near both london bridge railway station and the underground station which is useful if you want to go in to the city centre.
