The exact location!

We chose the london bridge hotel for it's location and it was perfect for our requirements. reception staff were very accommodating (as i had neglected to print off my hotel voucher) and we did not experience any problem! we only stayed one night and although continental breakfast was included in the price, there was also a selection of english breakfast food for which we were not charged. the only complaint about this was - the plates, and utensil handles were hot but the food was only warm!

London bridge hotel

The hotel is situated within easy access of commuting ie underground etc. right next to the shard and within walking distance of the promenade of london bridge and london eye. nice restaurants along there too for eating. borough market is well worth a visit , would recommend obtaining a underground pass in advance as well as comfy shoes for walking around too ! hotel is clean and lovely breakfast, full amenities , ironing board etc, our twin room was rather small but adequate for our stay. the bar s pricey though , so wouldn't recommend it . taxi fron easton costs around 20 pounds if you want to get there quicker.work is taking place across the road so ask fr a room at the ack f the hotel too .overall a nice hotel .

London weekend break

We stayed in london bridge hotel which is very close to london bridge rail and underground stations. very convenient location for travelling throughout london. very close to borough market, many shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. staff were very helpful and the room was surprisingly good size for a london hotel. breakfast was excellent and good facilities in the room. the hotel has a fitness first gym for use by guests. all in all a very positive experience.

A real gem

Stopped here before and it has again failed to dissapoint. hotel is spotless and all the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. breakfast is very well presented and of a high quality. some reviews say that the rooms are small but on both occasions (standard and superior) we have found found ours to be more that adequate. the beds are very comfortable and the superior rooms have bath robes, slippers, fruit and bottled water provided. next time we come to london this is the first place we would check for rooms. we got a very good deal £137 including breakfast (then got upgraded when we arrived) which is less than you would pay for a budget hotel in central london !

Great location

We have stayed at the london bridge hotel on numerous occasions and really like it. the area around the hotel is undergoing a major transformation with the shard at the end of the street, the entrance to the station is also getting a facelift, and across the road from the hotel the place is being built. the bus station is being renovated as well so the surrounding are is going to look very nice. the hotel is always good, nice breakfast and the location is great. the rooms at the front are getting a bit dark with the place going up at least 8storeys already but it's basically somewhere to sleep.

Another night at the bridge

We have stayed at london bridge hotel about 6 or 7 times now. we like the location and although there is quite a lot of constuction work going on at the minute, we believe the end result will be very impressive. we normally travel from heathrow t5 to london bridge via green park on the tube, £2.70 with oyster. you can walk along the south bank all the way to the london eye if you wish and the other way it is not far to the tower and tower bridge. you could take the thames clipper to canary wharf and the o2. the rv1 bus from beside the london dungeon takes you to covent garden. you are just a short walk from the impressive borough market. the breakfast is very good and the staff are very welcoming.

We stumbled across this hotel while looking for a decent central london hotel a step up from a budget hotel but not too expensive. we were delighted with the price for this. not sure if it's the standard tariff becaue of the significant building development at london bridge quarter. perfect for jubilee line all sites and close to thames and several attractions. we will go back

Overnight stay for a wedding

Hotel selected on price and location. room, although not large, was perfectly adequate: well equipped and comfortable. breakfast quality and selection also good. we travelled to the hotel by car, not really good for london but in our case, even with car parking fees and congestion charge was a cheaper and more convenient option than public transport! no parking at the hotel, but recommended car park was 5 mins walk away and had a reasonable tariff. concierge service was outstanding: allowed me to use internet connection to make a tourism related booking and, more importantly, helped move luggage to the next street when pick up was not possible at the door due to building works around london bridge station.

An enjoyable visit.

Have stayed at this hotel several times now and the cleanliness of the room, the helpfulness of the concierge and general staff is second to none. the only criticism this time was our room being on the first floor right above the borough bar which played very loud music from early evening until midnight. disconcerting but would not necessarily stop us from booking again if we could request a room in a different part of the hotel!!!! the area is currently being developed but this does not detract from the enjoyment of a visit to borough market, southwark cathedral & the south bank in general.

It's ok but nothing special, watch out for room facing building site

We stayed here mid-week for one night and the location and presentation are fine. it is worth noting that the hotel is opposite a major building project. the first room we were given faced this project and with the single pane window in the room the noise was a problem. called to the desk and we were moved straight away but was not happy we had to make that call. the other comment is the breakfast, it is served in a nice room and the staff and efficient and friendly. the ingredients are of a low quality and so the end resulting breakfast was adequate. (definitely a case of a cost cut too far) so one star off for building site facing rooms due to noise and one off for average breakfast.

For an overnight stop in central london, this was perfect. clean, smart, with efficient, smiling staff. location ideal for a walk around borough market, or up to the south bank. don't expect acres of space in your room, or a view of the rolling plains of the serengeti, it's london! just remember to turn left as you leave london bridge station on foot, it's only 200yards away!

Visit to the o2 november 2010

We used the hotel as a base to visit the o2 arena and were very satisfied with our stay. the room was well equipped, the hotel was clean, the staff were very polite and efficient and the breakfast was pretty good as well! the location proved ideal as from london bridge station (which is very close by) we could take both the jubilee line direct to either the o2 or central london and the northern line direct to kings cross. the only slight negative was that the room wasn't very big but that wasn't really a problem as we didn't spend much time in it; the important thing for us was that the large bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep! however, we may have been slightly fortunate in that we got a room on the back of the hotel; the rooms on the front would overlook london bridge station so whether they're as quiet at night i don't know. overall, though, we were very happy with our stay; £115/night for two including full english breakfast is good value for a decent hotel in london and we would certainly use the london bridge hotel again!

I have stopped at this hotel for a couple of nights at a time once or twice a year for the last seven years. it has always been a pleasure to stop there, the service is very good, and the breakfast in particular offers everything you would want. the rooms are not large, but they are well furnished, the sound proofing is excellent, and they are all airconditioned. i have stopped on all the floors, and in the wing with suites, and all the rooms i have used have been good. i will keep using this hotel untill such time as things change. this hotel is highly recommended, and is so close to the public transport at london bridge.

Excellent throughout

I booked three nights for my husband and i at the london bridge and we were able to secure a very reasonable deal through hotelsclick.com for three nights bed and breakfast for a total of 320 pounds. great considering this is a four star hotel and at london prices. check in and out were flawless, room modern and clean and had everything we needed- including a flat screen tv and sky tv which my husband particularly liked. breakfast was great- cereals/ museli, full cooked breakfast, toast/pastries, fresh fruit, juices and tea/filter coffee. a great way to start the day! location is also excellent- just round the corner from london bridge underground and able to travel on northern or jubilee lines from there. really close to tower of london. we also ate at the resteurant one evening and the food was again excellent- even more so considering that they are currently doing a buy one get one free offer on main courses. i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going to london and will be back should i need to stay in london in the future.

Just perfect

I am so glad i booked this hotel and not the tower hotel. be careful not to get confused. the tower does have views over the thames or st katherines dock. the london bridge is nestled in a side street a stones throw from the thames but with no views as such. one of my main reasons for my visit on this occasion was borough market and this hotel is 100 metres from the market. absolutely perfect. i upgraded to a de lux room for an extra £50 which was worth it. there were a few nice added touches in the room. breakfasts were fab and the dining room not too busy. a definate if you want to stay down by the river with all its attractions.

Great central location

we arrived at 12.30pm and found that our room was ready for us. once in our room we found it quite spacious and very clean (we did have a view of a building site but as it was a saturday there was no noise). we took advantage of the market being close by and had a good walk round (it mainly sells food of all descriptions) and we did buy a number of things that needed to be refrigerated (the concierge in the hotel (who was very helpful) did take this and put it into the hotel fridge for us until we left. we arrived back at the hotel at about 12am and once in our room we could hear music but we were told in the morning by the lady at the check out that this was a one off party. we wend down for the buffet breakfast which was wonderful (if you like a full english) i will definately be using this hotel again (perhaps with a room at the back of the building) and would defiantely recommend this to anyone for the value for money (and the breakfast) this hotel is located very close to london bridge mainline and tube stations and is across the road from borough market(open thurs-sat)and close to an number of bars and restarants

My daughter and i had a great 3 night stay in london. had a problem with noise on the 1st night with hearing people walking around outside untill the bars beside the hotel closed. we were on the 1st floor at the front, i am however a light sleeper. asked to be moved to a room on a higher floor and this was not a problem. there are building works going on in the surrounding area and worked commenced at around 7.30am every day - even sunday :-( but this is not the hotels fault. in all i can not fault the hotel. it is very convenient for the london bridge train station/tube station and the hotel, staff and breakfast was first class.

Unfortunately the room i was given upon check-in had no real window, one that had obscured glass of the type you would expect to find in a bathroom that didn't open. it was also sited across from the laundry room which was noisy. the room number was 202 and i suggest if you book this hotel you specifically avoid this room. as i was spending v little time in the room and was already running late for an appointment i did not have time to complain and ask for an alternative room.

Hotel for all

This hotel is ideally situated for london landmarks. the tower is only a short walk along the nearby thames and the opposite direction the tate modern and southbank attractions. unfortunatly the postitive position brings with it the noise that a central location attracts. the hotel itself whilst small is clean and the staff attentive and helpful. the buffet breakfast which was included in the price paid was very varied and good.

Excellent services, wonderful breakfast. my son returned to the hotel after clubbing with his friends in london at 3 a.m. the door was locked for security reason. my son asked the staff whether he can order a taxi for his friends. he ordered the taxi for them and allowed them to stay in the lobby to wait for the taxi. the temperature was below zero on that morning. he is very considerate and kind.

Ideal for city or west end

We stayed overnight at the london bridge hotel when we were attending a dinner in the city - just across london bridge. its location is very convenient - almost in london bridge station and accessible to the city on foot or the northern line and to the west end very quickly via the jubilee line. it is very well appointed, clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful. for the very reasonable price for a four star hotel we were just expecting a continental breakfast but were able to have a full english. we would certainly stay there again.

Brilliant stay at the london bridge.

A great hotel just seconds away from a main railway and bus station. from the moment of arrival, i was dealt with at reception by a very friendly and professional receptionist who made you feel very welcome. the room was just right and spotlessly clean. breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice but did not avail of any other main meals. would highly recommend to anyone and look forward to staying there again. one gripe was the bar attached to the hotel looked very nice but on the 2 attempts we made to go in there, it was closed for private functions. i was not impressed with the lobby bar due to the fact it was so "wide-open" planked right beside the reception-desk, it had no ambiance and feel they should do something about isolating it in someway.

Mid-week escape

We were aalmost completely happy with this hotel and we would stay there again. the beds were comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast good quality. the bedroom and bathroom were small, but nicely decorated. we didn't need space because we don't go to london to stay in the room (or to watch the good-sized flat sceen tv). although i wouldn't describe the 4th floor room as having a good view, it did provide a good view of some of southwark cathedral and when a boat went by on the river we realised that we actually had a (approx 10 metre stretch) view of the river! the bad news? we were adjacent to the service stair well and the amenities cupboard and the hotel corridor was being refurbished. luckily the builders didn't start work until 8.00 and didn't start drilling until 8.30 and the good news was that they didn't work on a saturday. so, this wasn't really a problem for us - we didn't want to laze in bed. the hotel is so close to borough market it is very convenient to browse and too easy to buy lots of goodies - luckily no room fridge to encourage over-expenditure!

4 day break

We have just returned from the london bridge hotel and our stay there was most enjoyable. we asked for a quiet room, on a high floor and away from the lift and were given a room facing the railway on the second floor which was down the corridor away from the lift. however the room was quiet and we didn't notice any noise from the railway. the staff were very friendly and attentive. the buffet breakfast was very good, although on the first morning most of the food was only warm and feel that this was because they didn't have the hotplates on a high enough setting. also the bacon and sausages could have been cooked longer but there was plently to eat with cereals, several different fruit juices, yoghurt, cooked meats and cheese, pastries along with bacon, sausage, fried and scrambled egg, tomatoes, hash browns and baked beans. these were frequently replenished when the dishes were becoming empty. on the last evening we ate in the restaurant with two friends and found a good choice of dishes on the dinner menu and the food we all selected was of a high standard and very nicely presented. the waiting staff were all very pleasant and attentive. my wife and i would definately stay here again as there is quite a bit to do within walking distance and the hotel is near both london bridge railway station and the underground station which is useful if you want to go in to the city centre.

The hotel was wonderful!!! we were checked in quickly and efficiently by the friendly staff and helped with our bags by the concierge, who was onduty 24 hours, which s realy handy. the rooms were gorgeous, newly refurbished with the most comfortable bed i think i have ever slept in!! we went for breakfast in bad both mornings, which was excellent, they don't hold back on the ammount they bring you- i didn't need my lunch!! on the day we checked out, the concierge was most obliging in storing our luggage for the day.

Great hotel for sight seeing

Great hotel for sightseeing, good transport links nearby. excellent breakfast, and hotel service although our checking in time was a bit delayed. all in all good value, good service, and friendly staff, would stay here again, although if you intend to do alot of shopping you can expect to travel to the main areas.

A lovely hotel in central london

This hotel is centrally located in london, only a few metres from london bridge station for overground and underground trains. there are lots of facilities either in or next to the hotel, including a major sized gym. the hotel is excellent in every way, and i have stopped here several times. the hotel would also be very good for sightseeing in london. the high score i have given reflects how gpod this hotel is. i do travel a great deal all over the world.

Can't think of a bad thing

The main reason we booked this hotel was because of location-and nice photos! my other half works in the city so it was easy for him to walk to work in the morning. i was very pleased with the closeness of london bridge station. the staff were very helpful and friendly. we had a standard double room and it was perfect. ok it was small, but we didn't need a huge room just to go to sleep in for one night. i can imagine the suites and larger rooms would be fantastic. we had no outside noise in our room, it was quite strange to think we were in central london. would definately use this hotel again. nice powerful shower, lcd tv,smart clean decor.

This hotel has an excellent location as the 'london bridge' tube station is literally a 3 minute walk away. staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were modern and extremely clean. we had a standard room and it was quite small but this is the only thing we found disappointing. overall i would recommend this hotel.

Inexpensive elegance and convenience

A surprisingly stylish and contemporary hotel of quality that is situated close to the heart of tourist london. easily located and a stones throw from london bridge rail station but conveniently tucked away on a quiet side street opposite southwark cathedral and some quaint cafes and eateries. friendly and helpful staff at all levels, superbly decorated and appointd rooms and public spaces and fantastic restuarants combined to make the london bridge hotel a truly great place to stay.

A little gem!

This hotel was such a surprise as it was so central, literally steps from london bridge station, and really chic inside. the decor was contemporary and fresh, the staff friendly and efficient and overall, it offered way more than i would have expected. the room was well fitted out with a mini-bar, complimentary water, a safe and an ironing board and iron, as well as a trouser press. the bathroom had good fittings, nice soft towels and 'white company' toileteries. all in all, a real find within minutes of lots of london attractions. i will definitely return and will be booking through hotelsclick for the best price.

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the london bridge hotel. although the location is not wonderful it is just a short walk from the river thames and the walk along the south bank - which is lovely - lots to see. the only downside was waiting for breakfast - we came down at about 9.30 and it seemed so did everyone else so we had to wait for a table. the times for breakfast are 7.00-11.00 so either get there before 9 or after 10.
