Behind the bar, surrounded by shady sunbathing areas, is a free form swimming pool; a soothing drop of blue in this otherwise arid land. The main dining room has a seating capacity of 60 and opens on to an outdoor terrace where buffet breakfast and lunch are served. Meals can also be taken on guests' private verandahs or a series of specially selected bush sites close to the camp. The lodge also boasts a spacious lounge and bar area where resident naturalists deliver facinating slide shows on most evenings and an intimate conference room with television for viewing wildlife documentaries.
The camp's location deep inside the Samburu National Reserve guarantees close encounters with the region's wildlife. Located 345 kilometres north of Nairobi, the journey to camp involves a 50 minute flight to the Samburu Airstrip, followed by a 20 minute drive.
