Discover Rieti
Rimini est le chef-lieu d'une des provinces de l'Émilie-Romagne, Italie; elle est située au sud-est de la région, donnant sur la mer Adriatique. Rimini a presque 145.000 habitants, et, après Ravenna, est la ville la plus peuplée de la Romagne.Rimini est un centre très importante de la Côte Romagnole; la ville est célèbre pour la qualité de ses plages, aussi bien que pour soi movida.
La ville a un très riche patrimoine culturel et historique. Elle a été fondée par le Romains en 268 avant J.C.; il y a donc de nombreuses oeuvres qui témoignent de cette origine, comme le Pont de Tibère, l'Arc d'Auguste et l'Amphithéâtre.
Pendant l'époque de la Renaissance, la ville a été soumise à la Seigneurie des Malatesta (dont on parle dans la Divine Comédie), et a accueilli beaucoup d'artistes comme Piero della Francesca et Leon Battista Alberti. Pendant cette période a été construit le Temple des Malatesta, qui est resté inachevé, mais qui est en tout cas un témiogne très importante de la Renaissance à Rimini.
Des autres oeuvres à visiter à Rimini (grâce aux offres spéciales de Hotelsclick) sont: l'Église de Saint Augustin, célèbre pour les fresques des peintres du XIV siècle de l'ècole de Rimini, la Place Cavour, qui etait le centre-ville médiéval, et Castel Sismondo, château construit en 1437.
