Great expereince!

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel with my partner, and from the first impression of the place, right through to when we checked out, everything was great. the hotel is like a little retreat from the city. although situated on the main road, once you walk through the archway and along the cobbled path up to reception, you could forget where you are! check in was very easy, and the reception staff very friendly. i have to say i was very impressed with our room. it was alot bigger than i'd expected (room 203), and was clean, modern, and had everything you would expect in a 3 star hotel bedroom. the bathroom was great with a bath and good shower (the only criticism here would be the cleaner didnt replenish the toilet roll!). tthe hotel has a great restaurant (greens). we had dinner here one evening and again we were very impressed. there was a good selection of dishes on the menu, with daily specials. the waiting staff were very attentive and knew the food and wine they were selling. we had breakfast in the restaurant every day and again, there was a good choice. (try and find a booking site where breakfast is included in the price, or book it in advance through the hotel, because if you pay for it there a hot breakfast is 12euro. there is another restaurant attached to the hotel (isaacs restaurant) which looked great, although we didn't eat here. i have to say these two restaurants are probably the best i saw when walking around cork. the waterfall outside green is a nice touch and looks very pretty in the evenings.

Corker

Booked 4 night stay withh b&b at isaacs and was more than happy with the whole package.we stayed in a standard room which overlooked maccurtain st and had to get used to a lot of traffic/pedestrian noise even though 3 floors up!.that said if you are out enjoying this great city and it's people you may not notice it as much so if woorried book a room away from the street.staff great and both reastaurants up with the best in cork.
