Room was cold and no rooms have heating in the bathroom. they have no additional heating to supliment the radiator but as we were on the 9th floor and the windows were the old aluminium type it does not hold the heat
Excellent location, within walking distance of theatre land, and many london attractions. bus stops and tube close at hand. room was on the small side but very clean.we were on the front so we were aware of traffic noise. decent full english breakfast.for the price we paid for 3 nights it was a bargain. parking was no problem asthere is a carpark beneath the hotel
Very convenient hotel with parking available. rooms smallish but big enough for a short stay. clean and comfortable with a great view over russell square and the london skyline. breakfast reasonable but ot the best selection or xevice i have ever had. reception staff excellent. would definitely use again.
Unfortunately the hottest night of the year and no aircon so tried to sleep with windows open but heavy traffic noise all night, room overloooked russell square but clean etc and breakfast fine
Every thing about this area of london is appealing i have stayed in many other places but find this hard to beat.the imperial is a good hotel clean and well staffed.there are only a couple of things let it down, one was the lack of towels in the room and the shower end fell apart the other was the 7am breakfast time, this seemed like a complete surprise to the chef, who managed to do no preperation and served cold beans, tomatoes he was also rude to a waitress.
For the price and location of this hotel, its not bad at all. i had a newly refurbished room and it was excellent. parts of the hotel need a updating and painted but apart from that i could not complain. would stay there again
The hotel served our purposes well. the front desk upgraded us to a superior room when they knew my wife required wheelchair access. generally accessable thro'out for a wheelchair except the bar.
The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. the rooms at the front were noisy but no worse than many london hotels. during our stay the sixth floor was being renovated, the only problem this caused was when the water supply to the toilet in one of our rooms was turned off by the contractors. the service was good and the staff helpful. access to public transport was good and the central location was convenient for theatres and sightseeing.
Good value for money & excellent location - half way between russel square & holborn tube stations. our room overlooke the front of the hotel - great view but was quite noist at night. sound did carry throughout the hotel, alot of noise from hotel at night! friendly & helpful porters & receptionists.
