Sensible option in historic ghent

Ibis opera is conveniently located a short walk from the riverside and main squares with plenty of reastuarants to choose from. it is clean and brightly decorated. the breakfast was good for continental style with ham and eggs available as well as thew usual fare. the rooms are small and bathrooms tiny but the bed was comfy and noise disturbance minimal. we were in ghent for the european masters athletics championships so the tram stop right outside the door of the hotel was a bonus. ghent is a lovely city and we enjoyed our stay.
