General
The hotel is well served by ferry and bus and is in a fair way from nathan road. Comfort and service of the hotel are very good.
Lobby
The lobby is very large and elegantly furbished in a neo-classical style. There is a big, marble sweeping staircase that leads to a general lounge and other facilities. The lobby also leads onto the main coffee shop.
Exterior
Impressive structure of glass and steel, oberlooking the harbour. It is set back from the road in its own modern courtyard.
Rooms
The rooms are large for Hong Kong standards, and many of them afford excellent views of the harbour. They are all elegantly appointed in a neoclassical style with data and fax ports as standard in all the rooms.
Restaurant
Several, offering a choice of Japanese, cantonese and western food. Main coffee shop (ground floor) offers oriental and occidental cuisine.
Location
It is located in the east of the Kowloon peninsula known as hong hum. Hong hum is served with ferries to wanchai and central. It is close to the famous whampoa shopping centre. There is a bus terminal close by, and a short ride (couple of minutes) gets you to the Kowloon canton railway terminus, where trains depart frequently to shatin, the new territories and the border with the peoples republic of China. The railway has several connections with the mtr.
