I contacted the hotel a week prior to arrival to ask for an upgrade if possible as it was a wedding anniversary break. upon check in, we were graciously upgraded, however the room contained twin beds. rather ironic in view of the nature of our stay. it took all in all two hours to resolve the issue, which was finally done by two very helpfull housekeeping staff we hapened to come across after waiting for the duty manager for half an hour to no avail. unfortunately the room was directly opposite the beach party being held by he hotel across the way, which caused us to lie and listen to a dull thud thud thud for most of our first night.
