Nicest casino in reno!

This is a beautiful, classy, understated hotel/casino! (unlike some nearby too-tacky or overblown casinos) it has a great variety of restaurants: steaks, asian, mexican, coffee shop, starbucks, johnny rockets, pizza, fro-yo - you name it! the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - the front desk called to see if we got our rollaway, mini fridge and even to see that we received our extra pillows! it's also very clean, and our roon was clean and decorated in a modern yet welcoming style. and for the kids there's a huge game arcade, laser tag, bowling and a movie theatre - you basically don't even need to leave the hotel! our stay was practically perfect in every way!

Very nice place to stay

We came to reno from las vegas for my youngest son's wedding. i was surprised at how close to the airport it is. the gsr smelled very good when we walked in the door. we checked in and was treated well. the rates of the hotel was fair. not only did we stay there, my son and his girlfriend stayed there. when i told my ex husband the room rate, he and his wife canceled their reservation at another resort. and booked with the grand sierra resort. we enjoyed the resort and if we get up to reno again. we will definitely stay there again. thank you

Great for a few nights

We enjoyed the grand sierra, it has some interesting furnishings and looks very new outside but some of the rooms show some age. overall it was a nice place to stay for the price.

Great weekend

Great weekend at gsr. i hadn't been there in about 5 years and they have done a lot of remodeling. i was impressed with my room and the hotel itself. its a great hotel for families also since there are a lot of activities other than gambling at the hotel to participant in. all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. saw comic amy schumer there and was quite put off by her attacking the hotel calling it a dump and then attacking the staff. what a low life, its one thing to attack the establishment but another to attack people trying to earning a honest living. that would be the only negative experience i had and it wasn't even the hotels fault. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in reno

Worth the stay!

A very clean, airy hotel. i expected it to be smoky in the casino area, but with the large spaces, there wasn't a problem with that. the room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable! we also enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and will stay here again when we're in reno.

Grand sierra

What a great price...will never book this hotel again without using hotelsclick. less than 50%! wow! what you are not told is that the hotel charges an additional $10/day 'resort' fee.

Nice but not delux

The gsr has two sections. newer remodel and older not remodeled. this room billed as a delux was in the older section. so while it was spacious it was not the room i had anticipated it served the purpose and they were very accommodating with my late check out. i've always enjoyed staying here. just make sure you are clear on which section of the hotel you are getting your room in and you should be fine

Good for the price

Fun spot for friday and saturday. mid week pretty quiet. rooms are large and under furnished. only had two beds and two chairs, could have fit two more full size sofas and a large flat screen tv.

Deal for hotels click

Great deal at $45 a night for a grand suite, even though the hotel is dated and the decor is cheesey.
