Early check-in accommodated, beautiful room that was every bit as beautiful as the photos suggested but in reality was bigger than i was expecting (our 8 yea4 was easily accommodated), and friendly service from all staff. the breakfast was outstanding. definitely worth paying extra to secure a lake view.

The hotel does look great and is at a great location. staff at the front desk, porter and valet parking were very friendly and helpful. however, the room was at the very noisy street side of the hotel. it was an old room with a dirty old wooden floor and "antique" interior. we had requested a third bed for our little daughter. the bed we got did look like and old hospital bed (white steel frame). the bathroom is certainly not what you expect in a five star hotel. the cold water tap of the bath/shower did not function appropriate, so it was difficult to get a acceptable water temperature. we made use of roomservice, which was very slow (more then 40 min.). food was however ok. overall conclusion however is that we got no value for the money paid. on the contrary, we are used to stay at mariott or sheraton hotels, and get much more value for less money.
