There are much better options for accommodation in havana!! i booked this as a change from the casas i'd been staying in and instantly regretted it. the shower screen was covered in old mould as was the grout between the tiles. everything about the hotel was either broken or on the way out. casas represent much better value for money, are cleaner and in better condition.

We stayed in hotel vedado for two nights and was very disappointed. the standard was very bad and did not match the relatively high prize at all. everything is in bad condition, the elevator, the electric installations, the rooms. no information about saving electricity in the daytime, no water in the pool, hole in the wall, mosquitos, bad service and bad food. sorry!

Service is not a well known word amongst the employees. the homepages states that there is a safe on the all rooms, which there indeed are. but none of the safes is working in any of the rooms (this according to the receptionist). in order to have your value secured, you need to rent a safe in the reception..!!!! water flooding on the floor when using sink at the bathroom, coming from the drain. shower almost not working aircon not working. waht ever deal you get at this hotel, don't ever book it..!!!

The hotel is located in new havana. it is not close to old havana, but very close to the "national hotel" and the "malcon". on our stay, a band played salsa every evening, the breakfast was was very good (an open buffet), and as most of the building in havan, the hotel was quite old with no exception.

This is hotel is quite cheap and you get what you pay for. the hotel is old and worn, but the staff is friendly and kind. we had no balcony in our room.
