Cigarette smoke

I booked this hotel with my boyfriend because we had an early flight home the next morning so wanted to be close to the airport. we paid more for this hotel than any others on our trip as we wanted a bit of luxury on our last night. we got to the 4* hotel which was unimpressive to say the least. the receptionist was so rude, she kept stopping my boyfriend talking until she'd answered her phone, finished off a previous task etc. we got to our room and it absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke! the only way i could describe the room was 'seedy', there was nothing nice about it apart from a big bed. i would usually go and ask for a previous non-smoking room but because the receptionist was so rude, we didn't want to go back down so we slept with the window open all night and the sound of the motorway traffic! if you're thinking about getting a taxi to the hotel, you might want to think again as it cost over 10 euros!

Close to pisa airport

Helpful reception. comfortable room. sculpture to my taste on the front lawn - in the genre of john chamberlain. great meal in restauant - ham and melon, followed by best beef and roast potatoes. large other group also in restaurant - waiter very perceptive and moved us away from them. quiet night. adequate breakfast - quite crowded. hotel also used by coach tours. a good experience, and got to airport in good time.

Pisa airport hotel

Very suitable for airport arrival. well received at reception even though it was nearly midnight. very good breakfast considering the low price.

Pisa visit 22nd-27th september 2011

Another wonderful stay at the golden tulip (renamed from myonehotel since my last visit). use this hotel as a base to visit tuscan towns / cities. conveniently close to pisa airport, hotel is modern, light and airy. spotlessly clean rooms and hotel, no squeaky floors or creaky beds. huge, comfortable double beds. excellent breakfast. book online via hotelsclick for best prices.

Very good deal

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the galilei, we stumbled across it by pure chance last year. the rooms are a great size, its very very clean and the staff are warm and welcome and to top it all off it doesnt cost the absolute earth! great location for accessing pisa centro - one junction from the airport for late arrivers! ideal and very quiet!

Airport hotel pisa

Stayed 1 night after arriving late at pisa airport on the way to a wedding. the hotel was easy to find, comfortable & very reasonably priced. free internet access & good breakfast. we arrived a 11pm & we could only get a ham & cheese sandwich to eat, which wasn't very nice. looked as though there had been a great barbeque going on-would have been nice if it had served a little later.

Poor location

We selected this hotel as it was the nearest to the airport for our early morning flight - but - the promised shuttle service didn't start until after our flight time, breakfast service didn't start until after the time we needed to leave the hotel, (and no packed option available) and the shuttle service to and from the town (several km) finished at 19:20 so we had to either eat in the hotel or get a taxi. it was not possible to walk anywhere from the hotel due to it's poor location on a busy a road with no footway.

Good - but a little out of town

The hotel was ideal for our needs. we had an early morning flight from pisa airport which was only a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride away. we had booked 3 rooms but arrived early and were able to put all our luggage in one room until the other rooms were ready. the rooms were clean and well equipped. the reception staff could have been more efficient and helpful although our early morning check-out was dealt with very quickly. breakfast was self service and provided plenty of choice. we had 2 evening meals in the hotel restaurant and the food and service were excellent. children were catered for and made welcome. it was much easier for families to eat in the hotel than to venture into pisa either on foot or by taxi. the hotel courtesy bus into pisa or to the airport ran infrequently and only during peak times. it was not very useful to a group of 7 and would need pre booking. however we did manage the 15 minute walk to the centre of pisa - a local map of the route into town would have been helpful especially if available from hotel reception.

Most comfortable room great, friendly staff, excellent evening meal. taxi service very prompt. booked in again.
