This 3-star hotel is most certainly the best place to stay in Reykjavik for many reasons: its location right in the middle of Laugavegur the main shopping street could not be more central, its decent sized bedrooms which are all decorated in a Nordic and very homely style, its proud owners... Splendid!
Well i stayed here for a total of 7 nights and completely was overwelmed by how friendly everyone was here! first night i came it was so easy to check in and if we needed to ask where something was, they would guide us. one lady there with blonde hair was very helpful and i was taken back by the fact she could speak french, english and icelandic..amazing!! when i chose the hotel i wasn't sure of the location but in fact the location was perfect right in the middle of everything. unfortunately they can't help that we didn't see the northern lights but they were very helpful in telling us that it was cancelled and offered to rearrange. the breakfast was decent although i would appreciate on a personal note some pastries in the continental breakfast supplied. the shower was good apart from the sulphur smell that we are not used to but that is no one's fault at all. was impressed with the room and the service from the maid daily. i would definitely stay here again when i come to try for the lights sometime soon!! thank you. lauren.
