Weekend stay summer 2010

Room was excellent. high level of equipment and cleanliness. can't see the mirror from the hairdryer point - wife says must be designed by a man. we didn't dine in, only breakfasts but the breakfast service was very slow and choices from the buffet limited. seemed to be understaffed.

Weekend away

This hotel is 2 mins walk from green park tube station which as we travelled via kings cross meant that we didn't need to change on the underground. the hotel is very clean , staff are excellent and i wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. breakfast was devine also.

Flemings hotel

We stayed at the hotel some years ago. since then it has been modernised and extended o is different from the photograph. we had a room on the 4th floor which was spotlessly clean and recently updated. the room overlooked the rear of the hotel which wasn't the prettiest view but it did mean that there was no road noise. the staff were all very helpful. location was excellent very close to piccadilly with green park and the underground station only 3 minutes walk away. buckingham palace is only a 10 minute walk through the park there is an excellent restaurant at 160 piccadilly, just beyond the ritz "the wolseley" would recommend it.

2 day stay over easter

There was some refurbishement work being carried out on the front of the building but this didn't affect our stay at all. excellent service from the reception and a good standard of room.

Excellent service for a fantastic price

From the moment we stepped through the door until the moment we left the service we received from all at flemings of mayfair was way above our expectations and our expectations were set very high. we had a standard double room which came equipped with a super king size bed, mini bar, flat screen tv and 2 seater settee. the food, both in the restaurant and bar, was superb but be warned...drinks come in double measures!!!! :)

Great location

For the things we wanted to do on this weekend in london, the hotel was in the ideal place. in the heart of mayfair, five minutes from bond st shopping, green park just a few steps away and only two minutes to buckingham palace. despite the scaffolding at the front of the hotel, it did not spoil our stay. it is being refurbished to a high standard. the staff were very attentive, particularly in the restaurant. the hotel was clean everywhere.

Dissapointing hotel with bad service

This hotel had the smallest double room i have ever stayed in. it had one small wardrobe but no drawers for clothes. when we arrived on friday lunchtime we reported that the mini bar in the room wasn't working. that evening it hadn't been fixed and they had no record of it being reported. we then discovered that the shower wasn't working and we were asked to move to another room. in that room the tv wasn't working, we reported it on friday evening and when we left on monday lunchtime it still hadn't been fixed or even had anyone to look at it. there was also mayor renovation work going on at the hotel which was terribly noisy when we arrived on the friday, thankfully they were not working on them over the weekend.

Room 106 - noise noise noise!!

A well presented hotel with attentive and helpful staff. we only stayed one night. the room was fine and tastefully appointed and the breakfast was superb. the problem was the room location. room 106 is on the ground floor, through the library and to the left. it is also right next to the 2 doors used by the hotel staff. during the afternoon and even more infuriatinly from 7:00am all we coiuld here were staff doors being pulled open and banging shut! we did complain but to no avail; the staff have to do their job. it completely ruined our stay and we were very disappointed in what would have otherwise been a very pleasant experience. i'm sure that the hotel must have had other complaints about that room and the noise and flemings really should do something about it.

April 2007

My daughter and i enjoyed our stay here. the concierge were very friendly and efficient. the room was very clean and decor was excellent and there was an air conditioning unit which we did have to use. comfortable bed etc. the library style lift was a clever touch. breakfast the next morning was excellent with great service. the location was excellent a couple of minutes from green park tube and a ten minute walk to oxford street (if you don't become distracted with the shops on new bond street!) the only critisism i would have was that you had to go through the restaurant to get to the bar area - this is not a problem if you are travelling alone or with another adult - but it did put me off going in with my twelve year old daughter.
