This place is a great value with super luxur rooms (bed, balcony, bathrooms), superb breakfast buffet and outstanding faciliites (s. above). the only slight problem is that it's in the middle of nowhere. car needed, next better restaurants are in ponte de sor (e.g. recommend: o padeiro)

5* in portugal sind immer so eine sache: dieses hotel verdient die 5* wirklich! alle zimmer mit sehr guten doppelbetten, balkon, 5 (!!) aussenpools, 2 innenpools und zugang zum see (yachthafen). natürlich merkt man auch hier, dass irgendwo das geld für regelmässige renovierung fehlt, aber insgesamt hinterlässt das hotel bei mir einen sehr posiitven eindruck und "good value". sehr gutes frühstücksbuffet!

We went for a 3 days stay and we had many issues. not a 5 stars for sure, with effort i will give it 4 stars at most. the hotel was understaffed in all areas, receptor, bars, restaurant, spa, and so on. the staff is not professional at all, with exception made for the lovely spa therapists. but overall not even the spa was quiet...lots of noise and not a word from the management. we have to carry our towels from spa and swimming pool, every single day to and from the reception - we complained and just dont agree with this procedure. the restaurant is just ok, i would not advise you to go...just the desert chef was a nice surprise. the worst are the mattresses, we complained and asked if they could do something about it and they show us no concern. the mattress is so, so soft that damages one's back and neck, its terrible for our health. many of the services were not available as mention on the booking...no kids club, the game room had just 3 board games, and they just took away the snooker. i would advice it with children at all, not even just as a couple, far away from interesting places and with a main road at the door step! you have to go outdoors to get to the indolor swimming pool, what it is just ridiculous especially in december. all the buildings in need of maintenance. no one to carry your bags on arrival. we will not be back there ever.

Second time in the hotel and love everytime i stay there. excelente service and bedrooms, excelent food and employees. recomend to all people that want a escape to the nature and peace.
