I chose this hotel for its central location so that we could drop off shopping or pop back for a short rest before exploring further. tram stops and the metro (5 stops from centrale fs) are just across the piazza from dei cavalieri and the duomo just short stroll away. the first impressions of dei cavalieri is of a well run business hotel but friendly and low key-perfect for leisure. if i visit or stopover in milan during the summer dei cavalieri will be my first choice hotel for the rooftop bar alone and its unrivalled views over south and west milan.
