Perfect for us

Once again on our visit to rome we stayed at the colonna palace hotel. this is the third time we had stayed there and will continue to do so each time we visit rome . although the hotel isn't the most modern up to date one you can find in rome the location is perfect, staff are friendly and it suits all our needs.

Honeymoon

We really enjoyed our stay at the colonna palace hotel, the staff were friendly, the location was perfect everything was in walking distance. breakfast on the sun terrace was excellent, although we didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were always out sightseeing any info we needed was freely given by the reception staff and we couldn't fault them. i know colonna palace hasn't always received good comments but my advise is to stay there and decide for yourself. we loved it.

Colonna palace- 3 night stay

This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel. i was disappointed this time, when i went to the reception area to book in, as details were under my name and to have the man talk over my shoulder to my partner!! very rude! and was disappointed when i had booked two rooms and find they were not next to each other. but the rest of the stay was lovely.

Top marks to the colonna palace

We couldn't fault the colonna palace. it is located opposite the parliament building which meant that it is very quiet as there is no passing traffic. it is centrally located for the trevi fountain, spanish steps and piazza navona. the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Excellent choice

Spent 6 nights here early sep'07. we were very pleased with everything. romm was fine, overlooking the piazza and very spacious. breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the view from the rook-top breakfast area was breathtaking. location was brilliant, just a short stroll away from almost all the sights. we're already thinking of a return visit to this hotel through hotelsclick.com of course

Handy for giolittis!

Good location for giolittis ice cream! expensive. no tea/coffee making facilities in room. room nice, air conditioning appreciated, bathroom modern but small...one in one out! staff helpful...unless you didn't do it their way! overall pleasant but expensive stay.

A lovely stay

The location could not have been better nor could the staff who were helpful but not intrusive. however, the rooms were quite dark and we were at the back of the hotel, so it was rather noisy. the rooms were also rather shabby and we couldn't get the t.v. to work although this was hardly a problem. our rooms had no tea and coffee facilities, which was rather surprising in a 4 star hotel. the single room was pokey. all this was offset by the location and staff. breakfast on the roof top terrace was a lovely experience, although breakfast itself was simply adequate. for a short stay it was more than sufficient, but the noise and lack of sleep would have been a problem had we been there longer.

Great hotel in fabulous location

The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from piazza rotunda (pantheon) and within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions - we didn't need to use public transport at all. we had 2 rooms between 5 of us - great size - one had been fully refurbished, the other partly (bathroom was old but still clean & fully functioning). continental breakfast served on top floor / roof garden - good choice of items available. would definitely recommend this hotel - great value for money from hotelsclick.com!

Great location and service for a very reasonable price

Right from the start the staff on the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. our small issues with the room were resolved very quickly (double not a twin and bulbs blown). its location is ideally located for exploring the city on foot so we had no need to use any form of public transport and there were plenty of great restaurants and wine bars close by. the view from the balcony at breakfast is fab! my mum was upset by the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room but if this is the worst thing i can say then this hotel is definately a safe bet for the money.
