Disappointing second stay

After a great first stay this latest two-day stay at the moran was disappointing. the air conditioning didn't work but the hotel engineer was unable to fix it, and we had to endure 24 degrees of heat throughout the entire stay (with no alternative room offered). there were several large stains on the carpet. the continental breakfast was adequate but uninspiring, with everything self-service (including tea & coffee), which was a bit disappointing for a 4* hotel.

Great hotel

We have stayed at the chiswick moran three times now and have been impressed everytime, the rooms are great & twice we had a free upgrade! the staff are very helpful, the cleanliness is excellent.we particularly like the location of the hotel as it is so close to the m4 & the district line station is within easy walking distance to get into central london.we will certainly stay here as our fist choice on our next visit to london.

Stay in london

Very disappointed because when we got to the hotel there was no record of our reservation. initially, the hotel had 1 room available and wanted to take pre payment from my credit card and i then advised that there were 2 rooms on the booking. they then said they didn't have any rooms left. after a discussion, the receptionist found us 2 rooms and wanted to take payment but as i had already pre paid i refused to do so. i allowed them to take a pre autorisation for extras but i must check my statement to see if they've taken full payment. i'm not sure who was at fault but ocne we checked in we had a lovely stay and would return to this hotel.

Enjoyable birthday weekend

Once again hotelsclick has provided a very good service. we arrived at our hotel and the booking was available. there were three of us and i had booked a 'triple' room. the room was spacious and comfortable. but the most excellent 'thing' about the service is the very affordable price.

What a gem!!

What a lovely hotel, 2 mins walk from gunnersbury tube station. lovely rooms in retro style, with large bed, beautiful bathroom with seperate shower & bath. breakfast in the napa restaurant in hotel, is either continental, cereal & toast, cooked meats & cheese, or full cooked breakfast with black pudding & white pudding. service was excellent, the receptioist advised us where to catch the bus as the tube station was closed for repairs. would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in london.

Really nice hotel

Stayed here last year and chose to come back for a 2nd visit, not disappointed hotel is a good 4* rooms are great, again had 2 rooms both as good as each other. our room was a little cold, so a small heater was supplied. only 3 minute walk to gunnersbury tube station on the district or overground lines. car park was free. will be staying here again on our next trip to london, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

A weekend stay

My wife and i needed to stay in this area, rather than in central london. we were really happy with our room, which was pleasantly and cleanly decorated, and in excellent style. breakfast provided everything we needed in continental or traditional form, with newspapers available, too. the staff could not have been more helpful, and i would certainly stay again. in the event, travel into central london was easy - there is a tube station just about 3 or 4 minutes along the road.

Theatre break

Booked a last minute break as a surprise for my wife. the hotel was well positioned for our needs 200m to the tube, 1 mile to kew. the service we received was excellent and the whole experience was value for money. we were on continental breakfast, which was quite adequate, with the surprise option to upgrade to full english for £5. our room had a great view over west london and was quiet. very easy access from the m4.great mattress on the beds instantly comfortable unlike some other hotels we have stayed in.

Excellent - best in chiswick

We’ve just returned from a two night stay at the chiswick moran. we got a great deal online with hotelclick including continental breakfast so we were waiting for there to be a “catch”, but everything went perfectly. the hotel is easy to locate as it’s only minutes from the motorway but when we arrived we were horrified at the signs telling us it was £20 per day parking. however, when we checked in we were told the most we’d pay would be £10 per day, but actually we ended up parking for free. we’ve stayed in the area before so we knew what to expect from chiswick. the hotel is located opposite gunnersbury tube station and a 5/10 minute walk to the centre of the high street. a flat easy walk and well lit at night. chiswick itself is a nice, safe, family orientated place with plenty of restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. the hotel itself is beautifully decorated and well kept. boutique style rooms, with enough space round the bed, a lovely big desk and full room width window. the whole place is clean - the tiles in the bathroom were incredibly shiny. speaking of the bathroom, you can’t help but love the fittings and the décor and the “window style” nightlight is stylish but incredibly practical. one minor negative was the shower, it just wasn’t very powerful. the breakfast was great, fresh pastries, cooked meats, cheese, cereals, juices. too tempting. we were offered a £5 upgrade to a cooked breakfast but we didn’t feel the need. some reviews on another site have commented on the road noise so i was a little worried when we realised our room was on the front but we just didn’t notice it. other reviews have commented on the customer service. we were always greeted with smiles at the front desk and the breakfast staff couldn’t do enough to help. they made a special effort to welcome my five-year-old, which doesn’t always happen. we felt incredibly at home here. we were impressed and will definitely return.

Always good

Have stayed here on many occasions. unfortunately, only just realised that hotelsclick is consistently the cheapest booking option. when visiting london this is a great place to stay. we also love chiswick so, for us, the hotel is great. gunnersbury station is only a few minutes walk away across the road, making the commute into the centre of london very easy. must have stayed here almost a dozen times now and never had any complaints. the beds are big and extremely comfortable. only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the shower is not very powerful. sure we'll continue to visit this hotel often.

Pure heaven

Modern hotel with easy access from the m4, junction 2. have stayed here 5 times and every stay has been enjoyable. the public areas are well kept, the staff are friendly and helpfull. the bedrooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. noise level from the corridor is minimal. easy to access tube and buses a few steps away from the main entrance. plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops within a 10 minute walk or a short taxi ride. easy car parking in the hotel garage or meter parking and outside the congestion parking area.

We had a corner room on the 4th floor, it was quite small but lovely and quirky. the bathroom was huge and the walk in shower was a nice touch. the bed was very comfortable (probably the best hotel bed ive slept in). plenty of tea + coffee, although pity no biscuits. nice choice for continental/cooked breakfast and plenty of coffee and toast. although slightly further out this hotel is close to gunnersbury underground and the change at hammersmith is on the same platform (so handy). only downside was reception staff on both friday night and sunday morning - i thanked them for a lovely staff and just got a blank look, i handed in my room card and didnt even get a thankyou. only a small thing i know, but it makes such a difference. all in all a lovely hotel.

Contemporary style at great value

Unfussy, contemporary styling, excellent food and great service. this is the third time i have returned with my wife and we agree it's good value for a very comfortable stay. plus, the location is good - just off the m4; a very short walk from gunnersbury tube station and close to all chiswick/london has to offer.

Try it!

We have stayed at this hotel several times since it opened. each time we have complained about the lack of shaver points. they managed to find an adaptor the first time; we now take our own. one other gripe is that bedside light are controlled from one side of the bed so tough luck if you want to read and your partner wants to sleep! despite this, the rooms are well equipped, the bathrooms quite sumptuous, especially in the larger rooms, newspapres are free, location good for tube and bus into london.

Recent stay

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was superb value.the room was large and quiet. we were on the 6th floor.my only criticism would be of the way the cooked breakfast was laid out.people were queuing and it slowed the whole process down as there was nowhere to lay the lids of the trays.perhaps you should invest in flip style lids.
