Disappointing

On the drive to the hotel we were already concerned as the streets were littered with rubbish and bin bags dumped with garbage in various streets in the area... in reception we had to wait before someone eventually arrived to check us in... they informed us of the hotels facilities etc but did not show us round or offer to help with our bags. we were also advised at this point that they could no longer accommodate us for our last night, so they had booked us into a near by hotel! the room was clean but smelt musty, the bathroom was also clean but the shower tiles were mouldy... breakfast was chaotic.. we had to lay our own table, other guests pointed us to the direction of the 'plastic' glasses...the coffee machine was totally inadequate for the number of guests, there was always a queue and the machine ran out regularly! the hotel needed more staff at breakfast... however all the staff were friendly and courteous.. especially lavinia.
