Value for money hotel.

This is a no frills hotel of excellent value. the rooms are clean and secure. the facilities are a little dated but for the money paid it is fine. we wanted to use the hotel as a base from which to visit venice and surronding places. we found it to be fine for this, we only paid £226.50 in total for 7 nights accommodation for my wife and i. this included breakfast which was very basic but again, fine for what we paid. the staff were friendly and helpful. it is about one mile from the centre of treviso which took about 25 minutes to walk.

Very reasonable hotel

We stayed at the carletto for three days and found it to be good value, only £19 per night via hotelsclick.com, and the rooms, though small, were very clean, and had a ensuite with shower, also very clean. the bedding ets was changed daily, and the whole hotel, though looks like a block of flats from thne outside, is very italian, clean and well serviced

Comfortable hotel in the suburbs of treviso

A nice comfortable hotel. staff spoke good english and were helpful. but the hotel is in an isolated position in the suburbs. there is no in-house restaurant. there is one restaurant next door but it is not open every night. i arrived late evening and found that there was nowhere locally to eat. there are no bars or cafes nearby. i was advised that the nearest restaurant was 1km. away. i went out to look for it but couldn't find it in the dark. i returned to the hotel and found that i was the only customer in the hotel bar. i went to bed hungry.

Cheap trip to venice

Very pleasently surprised, as all worked out well. room was great for 2 adults and 2 kids- 4 beds and 2 bathrooms, and well cleaned each day. recepton staff very friendly and helpful. buses into town and trains into venice spot on time every day, and a great way of feeling we were really in italy. lack of eating places close to hotel a problem, but easily solved by having long and large lunches in italian restaruants.

Very friendly hotel staff, nice clean rooms which were serviced every day. bit far away from city centre but very cheap, regular and reliable bus route which takes about 20 minutes to get to centre. no complaints except breakfast a bit dull but overall excellent value for money.

Just the job

Ideal for an evening flight arrival or a next day departure from treviso airport. we were pleasantly surprised at the standard for the money. carpet in bedroom stained and no air conditioning in room but we slapt well just lying on top of the bed. it is too hot and far to walk into townin august but the bus stops outside every half hour /every hour on "festivo" days. it is only 1 euro each and you can travel to the airport on 2 buses as long as the ticket is used(validated on the bus within 75 minutes). tickets can be bought in the hotel. breakfast was good with salami and cheese fruit juice cereal as well as bread , croissants and jams. there is also a spcious and comfortable lounge. i would use this hotel again no question. we stayed there 2 nights on way in and out. the second night the restaurant was closed tuesday but there was a chineses restaurant within 10 minute walk and a bar and restaurant 5 minutes away.

Baroque style!

Quite difficult to find the hotel in treviso. the communal areas are in a strange baroque style and whilst a bit tired in parts are generally well maintained. no evening activity to speak of. the rooms were ok, but needed painting. you are not going to get over weight on the meagre breakfasts. not a place where to spend quality time, but ok for a cheapish over night stay.

Treviso is a lovely place to stay

We chose this hotel as it was one of the few we could find with a family room at a reasonable price. treviso is a lovely location to stay when visiting venice as it has plenty of its own charm.unfortunatley this hotel was on the outskirts of the city and only accessible by a half hourly bus service which finishes around 8:00pm.if you want to stay out late this is not the hotel for you! taxis are around 12 euro for a trip from the train station to the hotel. the hotel looks modern but inside its made up of a variety of styles! our room was very brown!breakfast is included but don't expect to get too much - bread rolls, croissants and jam . there is a bar advertised but it wasn't open when we went, so we went to the little cafe/restaurant across the road which was pleasant and friendly. otherwise there is very little in the area. its simply a nice residential area. overall it was cheap but i'd rather stay in the centre of treviso.

Miles away

The hotel was advertised as 1500m from the old town but in reality it's a lot further and the bus service is very poor.
