The hotel was tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. on entering the foyer this was apparent at the outset as the first glance towards the reception desk showed it to be so worn that it was indicative of what one might find elsewhere. no way could you describe this hotel as one of the finest 4-star hotels in bristol.it was clean but did not warrant more than a 3-star tag and in the event was very expensive for what was on offer. i have run a guest house for 10 years and so have knowledge of the business.
